Abstract
A 38 year old male presented with diminution of vision in left eye since 2 months
On examination of left eye, counting fingers 3 meters and anterior segment evaluation was normal, right eye vision 6/24 and anterior segment was normal.
Posterior segment examination of left eye revealed foveal thinning, pseudopod like extensions surrounding disc, retinal pigment epithelium atrophy from disc to choroid.
OCT of left eye- foveal contour thin with ellipsoid zone and external limiting membrane completely gone from disc temporal to macula.
On ruling out Tuberculosis, patient was started on systemic steroids and azathioprine.
CMV IgG positive
CONCLUSION- This is a reported rare case of Serpiginous choroiditis with CMV IgG POSITIVE which could be a post viral infection triggered inflammation.
