Abstract
ILM peeling(ILMP) was done in two cases .PPV (25 G) was done in both cases. First case was large macular hole in which after PPV , BBG dye was injected in fluid media and then ILMP was done with inverse flap technique . C3F8 gas was injected as tamponade. Second case was retinal detachment(RD) with macular hole . After PPV , fluid-air exchange(FAX) was done . BBG was injected in air media and fluid infusion was again started. ILMP was done in detached retina . FAX was done and subretinal fluid was drained . silicone oil was injected as a long term tamponade .both cases were followed up regularly . At postop 4 weeks , OCT was done which showed closed macular hole in both cases . This shows the importance of ilm staining under fluid / air and it’s advantages/ disadvantages . It also highlights importance of different tamponades used and successful results were obtained in both cases undergoing different surgical methods.
