Abstract
Operation theatre complex is the most vital place of any eye care set up as the reputation of the institute mostly depends on the complication free successful outcome of ophthalmic surgery. Postoperative infectious endophthalmitis and (TASS) are rare, but potentially sight-threatening complications of cataract and other intraocular surgery. Recently COVID 19 pandemic has added to the risk of transmission of the infection from infected patients to staff or vice versa with the possibility of dreaded consequences for all. So, in the current post COVID era it is very much essential to follow proper OT etiquette, proper OT and instrument cleaning and sterilization practices, and also training and education of staff to remain protected from COVID19 infection and infection prophylaxis.
This IC intends to help the participants to develop their own Operation theater and sterilisation protocols to achieve the goal of zero infection and COVID prophylaxis.
