Abstract
The advancement of vitreoretinal surgical techniques and instrumentation has made the outcomes of retinal detachment surgeries more predictable. However each case of Retinal Detachment has its own set of challenges. These challenges multiply manifold when the Retinal Detachment is complicated with associated pathologies. In such situations it is imperative that the operating surgeon diagnoses the complications , anticipates the difficulties while operating these cases and takes appropriate measures to prevent any complications.
This advanced IC will give insights into managing complex situations of Retinal detachment.
This course will enable attending VR surgeons to learn how to diagnose, anticipate, manage these complications.
Even the attending General Ophthalmologists will learn about these challenges and the outcomes.Since they are the primary ophthalmologists , it will help them counsel their patients accordingly.,
