Abstract
Observations:37yr old male presented with blurred vision more in right eye than left.Right eye had total retinal detachment with macular hole surrounded by pigments and left eye showed neurosensory detachment with yellowish subretinal deposits inferior to the fovea. The patient underwent right eye pars plana vitrectomy with autologous retinal graft with silicone oil tamponade. The drainage retinectomy provides retinal graft as well as act as a site for fluid air exchange.Postoperatively a well-attached retina with a closed macular hole was noted.Findings were documented with the help of fundus picture, autofluorescence and SS-OCT
Conclusion: Vitelliform like dystrophy with macular hole related retinal detachment is of rare occurrence and drainage retinectomy serves dual purpose of fluid air exchange and retinal graft for anatomical outcome.
