Abstract
Methods:Retrospective Case Report
Result:23Y old female with complain of DOV in RE of one week duration.BCVA in the RE was 20/80 and in the LE was 20/20 with conjunctival pallor.Fundus examination showed the presence of pre retinal hemorrhages at macula in the RE and multiple Roth spots in LE.Systemic and laboratory investigation confirmed diagnosis of Nutritional anemia and was treated.At 1 month F/U,VA in the RE had improved to 6/18 with the preretinal hemorrhage showing signs of resolution
Conclusions:The occurrence of Anemic Retinopathy due to nutritional deficiency.This case,may represent just the tip of the iceberg,hence calls for establishment of stringent screening protocols for the identification of nutritional anemia and fundus examination of the identified subjects for anemic retinopathy.Ophthalmic manifestations of anemic retinopathy only needs systemic management.
