Abstract
Case description- A 7 year old female came with excessive tearing from left eye since 3 months. On evaluation, an orifice was found on the inferomedial aspect of medial canthus of the left eye. We confirmed the diagnosis as congenital lacrimal fistula of unilateral type and ruled out systemic and familial association.
Management- Since symptomatic, fistulectomy was performed and the surgery went uneventful. The patient had no relapse of symptoms till the last follow-up.
Conclusion-The rare congenital lacrimal fistula was timely diagnosed and managed well.
