Abstract
CASE REPORT:A 37YEARS female, Mrs.Latha presented with painful sudden loss of vision in right eye with headache since 20days. RE visual acuity 1/60. On examination, anterior segment BE was within normal limits. Fundus of RE showed disc edema, with multiple CR scars s/o ocular tuberculosis. CT Chest was normal but mantoux was 33mm. Patient was initiated on ATT in view of clinical picture favouring ocular TB and significantly positive mantoux. Patient responded well with improvement in visual acuity to 6/9.
Conclusion : TB optic neuritis to be considered in the differentials for optic neuritis especially when there are typical pigmented CRA scars in the fundus and evaluated and treated the earliest for good visual outcome.
