Abstract
Morning glory syndrome is a congenital defect of the optic nerve & is characterised by an enlarged funnel shaped cavity of the optic disc.Reporting a case of an 8year old male with retinal detachment in both eyes,S/P RD surgery.Child also underwent cataract surgery with PCIOL implantation in both eyes for congenital cataract & surgery for cleft lip &cleft palate.Ophthalmological evaluation showed BCVA,1/2/60 RE&3/60 LE.IOP was 24.9 RE&20.2 LE.Anterior segment examination showed microcornea,iris coloboma at 6’oclock position,IOL in RE& iris coloboma at 7&9’o clock position with ?silicone oil bubble/displaced optic of a secondary IOL in AC of LE.Posterior segment evaluation revealed retinochoroidal with optic nerve head coloboma in both eyes with morning glory syndrome in LE.Conservative management done.
