Abstract
On examination, he had vision of 6/60 in the only eye with features of acute anterior uveitis and was started on oral and topical steroids. Patient was lost to follow up for 3 months, until he turned up with severe diminution of vision.
On examination he had vision of FCCF PR Accurate. Anterior segment examination revealed deposition of brownish pigments throughout the cornea spanning all layers. On repeated questioning, he reported a history of trauma to left eye by an iron particle while welding 7 years back, and an ocular surgery after 4 months.
On careful examination, a 1mm slit hole was found in iris at 12’O clock. CT Scan orbit revealed an embedded intraocular foreign body. Patient is planned for optical keratoplasty, followed by vitreoretinal surgery. An intraocular foreign body may remain inert for years and present later, with uveitis and corneal hemosiderosis.
