Abstract
6/9 or better for distance and N6 for near have been included.Measured phoria of less than or equal to 10ΔD & Stereopsis of 60 secs of arc included. For identifying the dominant eye Portas’s test was performed
Results:The fusional vergences both Negative and Positive vergences were
measured for distance as well as near and their break values were considered to
compare between the dominant eye and the non-dominant eye using z-test.Statistical significant difference in PFV for near (p = 0.035) was observed.
Conclusion:It is necessary to record of the eye in front of which the prism bar is placed while
assessing fusional vergences. This will help the examiner to determine in front
of which eye the prism bar should be used to assess fusional vergences post therapy sessions
