Abstract
Methods: Patients with history of trauma with loss of vision presented to eye department are evaluated. Initial high intraocular pressure was managed with antiglaucoma medications. Proper intervention were done in needful cases.. Postoperative followup was done at day 1, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months.
Results: 26 cases were included in our study. Mean age was 28 years (27±9 years). 18 cases (69.23%) were injured in road traffic accident. Surgical intervention was done in 22 (84.61%) cases. Post operative vision was improved in 18 (69.23%) cases. 6 (23.07%) cases were persistent high intraocular pressure which were managed with Antiglaucoma medications.
Conclusions: Primary implantation of intraocular lens also may help to improve vision. Peroperative management of complications has great influence in total outcomes.
