Abstract

A 65 year old lady presented with a typical rodent ulcer involving her right lower lid just below the lateral canthus. Patient under went complete excision of the tumor with 4mm extra margin to ensure complete tumour clearance. The surgical coloboma left behind after the removal of the tumour was repaired by modified Tenzel’s Semi circular rotation flap technique. Histopathology confirmed the tumour to be basal cell carcinoma with complete margin clearance.

This case is being reported to present a new modification of the Tenzel’s flap for the management of large lid defects created by extensive eyelid tumours.
