Abstract
Methods: It was a prospective, hospital-based study conducted between January 2019 and March 2020 . Total of 52 cases included. Detailed history was taken from all of them including the time of injury and the time of presentation to the hospital, mode and type of agents causing the injury . Follow-up period was 3 months.
Conclusion: Significant number of cases suffer eye injuries mostly at the workplace especially in agricultural setting. Jharkhand being an industrial, agricultural belt situated in forest areas ,many injuries are also due to animal attacks. Strict implementation of health education and preventive strategies is therefore important. Not many studies and research have been done in this area.This article intends to achieve proper research on ocular trauma in Jharkhand.
