Abstract
Since its inception optical coherence tomography (OCT) has emerged to become a widely used tool that has already revolutionized the diagnosis and treatment of various retinal disorders. Certain OCT-derived biomarkers have been identified that could help in early diagnosis, prognosticating and even assessing response to treatment of different retinal disorders like polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, parafoveal telangiectasia, neovascular age related macular degeneration, pachychoroid, central serous chorioretinopathy, macular edema in diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusions. The objective of this instruction course will be to highlight the key OCT-based biomarkers in diagnosing, treating and prognosticating these common retinal diseases seen in clinics.
