Abstract

Cataract surgery still remains the bread and butter for modern day private practice. There has been a paradigm shift in the management of cataract surgery with great emphasis is given to the refractive outcome.Besides every patient yearns good experience undergoing cataract surgery. To build a premium practice customisation of cataract surgery is the most critical step. Evaluation of tear film, cornea, anterior chamber, lens thickness and macular health pre determines the success of the procedure. Inspite of successful cataract surgery per se, patient has high amount of dissatisfaction which cannot be explained with his post operative visual acuity alone. Aim of this instruction course is to decode various post cataract surgery patient perceptions and not repeat the same mistakes in future. Hence it is deemed necessary to create a trust between the care ‘providers’ and care ‘takers’ utilising the best of technology available in the market.
