Abstract
Purpose-To understand the Physiology,pathology and treatment methodology of neurofibromatosis. Method-A 10 year old male patient presented with a painless mass on right upper eyelid,brow and forehead gradually covering whole eyeball.There was a history of trauma on right side of forehead 4 years back after which the complaint started.On examination,a localized well defined mass was seen involving the right upper eye lid, eyebrow and forehead obscuring the right eyeball completely.On palpation,the mass was soft and non tender.The best corrected visual acuity was 6/24(R/E),6/6(L/E).Multiple hyperpigmented macules were present over the trunk.MRI head and orbit revealed small hyper intense spots were seen in mid brain.Patient underwent lid and forehead debulking surgery and LPSresection. Result-Histopathology report confirmed the diagnosis of neurofibromatosis.Conclusion-Neurofibromatosis of lid is a rare entity which require early diagnosis and management.Disclosure-No Financial Interest
