Abstract
Surgical excision with wide margins is the gold standard treatment for OSSN, however chemotherapy is emerging as an effective alternative therapy specially for small and well circumscribed tumors.A case of conjunctival growth presented and clinical features like tumor size, location, presenting complaints , duration of symptoms, tumor pattern, were noted.Clinical diagnosis of OSSN was made. The patient was treated with Subconjunctival IFNα-2b injections (3 million IU/0.5 ml) followed by topical treatment of IFNα-2b dose of 1 million IU/ml. The medication was used four times a day without interruption until one or two more months after clinical resolution of the lesion. No adverse effect were noted except flu-like syndrome that lasted for approximately 48 h after administration of the injection.
