Abstract
Trabeculectomy remains the most commonly performed incisional surgery in glaucoma patients. However, even with best surgical hands the success of trabeculectomy is variable. After the results of Eagle Trial lens extraction alone is often being considered as primary surgery specially in angle closure glaucoma. TVT study and Primary TVT study has made tube as a viable alternative of Trabeculectomy. With Xen Implant coming to India very soon MIGs too will be viable options for our patients.
This video assisted Instruction course aims to have views of practicing glaucoma specialists on ways to enhance the success and predictability of trabeculectomy. The course will emphasise on various preoperative, intra-operative and post operative manipulations that can help in achieving desirable outcomes. We will also be sharing difficult case scenarios and how the surgery needs to modified accordingly.
