Physicians constantly aim to identify glaucoma early and start treatment in order to prevent progression to significant vision loss. In view of newer technology and therapeutic options each having its own advantages, disadvantages, false positive and false negative tests, the area needs clarity of priorities. The course aims to clarify these grey areas with illustrative examples and inputs and open discussion with well reputed faculty. The various diagnostic modalities will be discussed with importance on how to collate and assimilate data form different tests to arrive at a strategy. Periodic observation is also an important strategy and how to do it effectively needs more insight and clarity , which will be addressed amply.
