Abstract
MATERIALS AND METHODS – Two step management techniques are adopted in most of the cases. In first step corneoscleral tear is repaired via adequate suturing technique for proper sealing of wound. Then patient is followed up for healing of wound and assessed for visual prognosis. In the second step traumatic cataract is managed depending on type of cataract, capsular integrity and zonular status. In some cases posterior segment also need to be managed surgically.
CONCLUSION – Meticulous clinical and surgical approach is required for better visual prognosis in traumatic cataract with zone 2 open globe injuries.
