Abstract
The specialty of Uveitis is faced with diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Often, we need to learn from our previous incorrect approaches, and revisit our diagnoses with a revised strategy. In the field of uveitis, understanding the evolution of the disease is of paramount importance. It is important to step back, and reassess how we can best manage our patients. With the advent of molecular diagnostics and multimodal imaging, it is now possible to do an in-depth analysis of the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying the disease, and uncover the protean disease manifestations. In this course, the instructors will follow a novel approach that will be case-based, so that each presents 2 cases, and discusses the nuances of arriving at the correct diagnosis, and appropriately managing each case. There will also be a panel discussion to help the audience understand how using a particular approach can help in managing cases.
