Abstract

In today’s day and age where everything is hi tech and superfast , the simple but effective buckle has been forgotten and very rarely makes an appearance on our operating lists. In our IC, we would like to discuss about the various buckles and their use in ophthalmology practice today. Knowledge of the various buckles and when to use them is a good tool to possess . Some cases may benefit more from a buckle than a vitrectomy. A knowledge of which cases to choose for buckle may benefit the patient immensely and save them from multiple operations.
