Abstract

With the advent of various techniques & adjunct therapies in the management of posterior pole pathology ,there is no clear consensus in the standard treatment protocol. The course will showcase various high definition videos of routine surgical management and tackling complications of macular holes, foveoschisis, ONH pit, VMT,ERM and taut posterior hyaloid. The videos will also highlight the use of various adjuncts, dyes and flap manoeuvring techniques in simple and complex cases. The course consists of various degrees of case complexities which will be helpful to the novice and experienced surgeon alike.

The course objective is to make it clear that no single technique suffices for the various surgical challenges in macular diseases. At the end of this case based course the attendee will have a knowledge of the various clinical presentations of macular diseases and the customised treatment for each of them & management of the most common complications.
