Abstract
Recent technological advancements have led to a paradigm shift in the way we evaluate cornea and ocular surface diseases in the clinic. Current ophthalmic literature too is flooded with evidence which suggest newer management algorithms for the management of pathologies like dry eyes, keratoconus, post LASIK ectasia, etc. Corneal transplantation surgeries have moved from full thickness grafts to lamellar grafts which need better pre and post-operative evaluation. Ocular surface squamous neoplasia is now managed by chemo-reduction rather than surgery. Further, increased patient awareness and expectations has fueled the need to diagnose and manage pathologies early and accurately. Hence, integration of newer diagnostic tools with our basic clinical examination techniques, is of paramount importance. This instruction course will provide detailed understanding of these diagnostic tools and devices in terms of application, analysis of data obtained as well their limitations.
