Abstract

Phacoemulsification is now, the basic and front line cataract surgery. many of the institute advocate and has put into their curriculum for PGs to undergo the training of this modality. still there are institute where is not into the active training programme and freshers are exposed to very a smaller number of cases and could not start the surgery individually and confidently. this course tackles the different aspects of training and how to make them confident to start the surgery by their own. it includes making candidate acclimatized to OT atmosphere, tuning with machines, and refining the different steps of phaco from incision making to implanting IOLs. this includes the mistakes made by candidate which were recorded discussed and given tips and tricks to refine it.
