Abstract
CASE REPORT:
In 2018,a 54 year old male presented with bilateral floaters and OD defective vision. He also had nystagmus and gait instability. He was diagnosed as viral uveitis and started on steroids and anitvirals. The neuroimaging showed cerebellar demyelination. He improved well with treatment, and was asymptomatic for eight months. He then later developed severe headache and gait instability, and was not responding to steroids. Neurology opinion was obtained and after extensive work up a cerebellar mass was identifie. IHC showed Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma with CD20+ve. PET CT and CSF studies were negative, suggestive of primary CNS B cell Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Conclusion :
A high index of suspicion needs to be maintained for cases suspected of having Neoplastic Masquerade Syndrome, since an accurate and timely diagnosis can be life saving
