Abstract
Aim : To compare ocular biometric characteristics in normal PAC, PACS, APAC, CACG & fellow eyes of APAC.
Methods : Retrospective study on 100 patients (26 Normal, 30 PACS,15 PAC,5 APAC, 5 fellow eyes of APAC &19 CACG patients). CCT, AL, ACD, LT measured using A Scan. Lens Axial Length Factor (LAF), Relative Lens Position (RLP) were calculated. ASOCT was performed & angle opening distance at 500 & 750µm, Trabecular iris space area at 750 µm (TISA 750), anterior chamber angle, Lens vault (LV), angle to angle distance, anterior chamber area (ACA), ACD & Scleral spur angle (SSA) were measured.
Results : CCT, LT, LV, LAF was more but ACD, Angle to Angle distance, ACA, AOD 500 & 750, TISA750 & SSA tended to be less in angle closure disease as compared to normal. ACD was lesser in APAC than in PACS, PAC and CACG
Conclusion: Larger CCT, LAF, LT&LV& shallower ACD, ACA & angle characteristic were risk factors for development of APAC with PACS or PAC
