Abstract

Aim- To study the incidence of lens induced glaucoma

Materials and method- Total of 51 diagnosed cases of lens induced glaucoma were included. A detailed history and a thorough ocular examination was done including visual aquity,slit lamp examination, intraocular pressure measurement,gonioscopy and fundus examination. Result- The incidence of LIG was found to be 0.16%;majority in the age group of above 55 years and more in females. Conclusion- Early diagnosis of cataract is important to decrease the incidence of LIG.
