Abstract
Aim:Study causes, management & VA in cases of raised IOP post IPCL.
Method:Retrospective study of all cases came to glaucoma clinic for raised IOP after implantable phakic contact lens (IPCL-Caregroup, India),did for high myopia by a single surgeon b/t Jan 2014-Dec 2019.
Result:Out of 317 eye, IOP raised in 20.5%, Mean age:25yr.Mean pre op UCVA:0.045, BCVA:0.64 in decimal. Mean pre op AT:16mmHg, CCT: 515µ, 1st visit AT in gl opd:28mmHg(p<0.0001).Cause of raised IOP-steroid induced:65%, Visco:15%, Pupil block:12%, missed JOAG:3%, OH:3% & PAS:1.5% eye. AGM:29% >2mth, LC:19%.Final mean UCVA:0.63{P<0.0001(pre op UCVA),p= 0.87(pre op BCVA)}, mean AT:15.7mmHg(P= 0.35). Enlarge PI did in 9%, AC wash:1.5%, Exchange:4.6%, correct vault:1.5%,Explant & phaco sx in 3% eye. Low IOP raise steroid for responder, visco resolved/removed, PI enlarged/vault dec in pupil block with AGM in all for time being controlled IOP. Conclusion:Raised IOP can be managed with good VA in raised IOP post IPCL cases.
