Abstract
A 13 year child had closedglobeinjury with wooden stick 1 year ago resulting in corneal perforation. Primary repair was done immediately and followedup at regular intervals. Later child developed cataract with retinal detachment for which lens aspiration + encirclage and vitreoretinal surgery with silicone oil was done. Child has vascularised membrane with dichotomous branching like retina now with visual acuity 6/18. On fusus examination disc and macula healthy with retina attached. Visual axis opacification occurs due to proliferation of lens epithelial cells, remnant of lens capsule. (1) Retinal vessels typically bifurcate maintaining its identity as dichotomous branching{2}
