Abstract
This study highlights the vascular changes in the macular area as detected by OCT-A in patients who underwent successful retinal detachment surgery. Results show that there is a decrease in vessel density in both superficial and deep capillary plexus after successful retinal detachment surgery. This indicates that there is an ischemic insult to retinal foveal capillary plexus due to retinal detachment. OCTA can detect the underlying reason for different postoperative visual outcomes in macula-off RRD patients
