Abstract
Methods: Observational study of normative data of posterior corneal imaging by Raytracing & Scheimpflug imaging in 183 eyes of 183 normals, analysed in 3 groups [group 1: 20-29 years(n=80), group 2: 30-39 years(n=55), group 3: 40-49 years(n=48)]. Vector analysis of PCA & correlation between two methods of imaging was generated. Results: In 183 eyes[mean age 32.7±8.8 years(males 115, females 68)], mean posterior corneal average keratometry was -6.58±0.64D,-6.38±0.48D; mean PCA was -0.30±0.22D,-0.25±0.21D by raytracing & Scheimpflug imaging respectively. Against the rule astigmatism was noted in 63.9% by ray tracing & 61.74% by Scheimpflug imaging in the posterior cornea. Correlation analysis in total study population showed a correlation of 0.57 for posterior average keratometry & for posterior corneal J0 vector of 0.57.Conclusions: Against the rule astigmatism was observed predominantly in our study population of normal eyes with a low correlation between the two modalities of imaging.
