Abstract

Projectile metallic foreign bodies can be the cause of several injuries including extraocular, intraocular and intraorbital. There are clear guidelines regarding the removal of foreign bodies from the intraorbital and intraocular locations. However, removal of these foreign bodies from extraocular locations including subconjunctival, sub tarsal and intracorneal has no clear-cut guidelines, timing or techniques. We describe a novel technique for the removal of multiple metallic foreign bodies from the subconjunctival location.
