Abstract
CASE DESCRIPTION: 13 year old female presented with painless, mass on the inner side of upper eyelid since 2months.The mass was externally about 3x3cm with well-defined margins, non-mobile, cystic in consistency and noted on the palpebral conjunctiva on lid eversion.Computerized tomography showed well-defined cystic mass with four regular margins measuring 21 mm × 19 mm × 6 mm with no contrast enhancement.The mass was excised and on histopathological examination,a cystic mass filled with clear fluid lined by double-walled cuboidal epithelium as eccrine hidrocystoma was confirmed.. The postoperative period was uneventful.
CONCLUSION: Hidrocystoma are often of clinical interest and have to be differenciated from various lesions for appropriate treatment aid.Hence awareness of these lesions is vital.
