Abstract
Mean age at diagnosis was 31.5m.30(93.7%) eyes had AC seeds at primary presentation and 2(6.2%) had secondary AC seeds. The seeds were depository in 30 (93.7%) and infiltrative in 2 (6.2%) as confirmed by UBM imaging. Ten (31.2%) eyes had associated diffuse NVI and 9 (45%) had raised IOP on presentation. Management included 6 cycles of 3-drug intravenous chemotherapy (IVC) in all, periocular topotecan in 5 (15.6%), intravitreal topotecan in 8 (25%), intracameral topotecan in 5 (15.6%), secondary triple-drug intraarterial chemotherapy in 2 (6.2%), and plaque brachytherapy in 4 (12.5%). 26 (81.2%) eyes were salvaged and 6 (18.7%) underwent enucleation. At a mean follow up of 32.6 months, none had systemic metastasis. The presence of AC seeds traditionally has been an indication for primary enucleation. However, management with IVC coupled with aggressive focal consolidation can help salvage these eyes.
