Abstract
48 yr old gentleman came with sudden onset defective vision of 2weeks duration.He gives history of fever 2weeks prior,subsided with antipyretic treatment.Visual acuity was CF@1meter OD &6/18 OS. Anterior segment showed +2cellular reaction OU.Fundus showed multiple posterior pole ill-defined whitish patches with intraretinal haemorrhages OD>OS. Provisionally diagnosed as post infections/hypersensitivity retinitis patient was treated with oral steroids in tapering doses.Serology was negative for TB,syhphilis,dengue,chikungunya,ricketsia.At 3weeks there was persistent of posterior pole lesions.OCT OD showed disorganisation of inner retinal layers, cystoid macular edema,OS neuro-sensory detachment.Flourescein angiography early intense leak in posterior pole in OD with perivascular late staining OU.Patient was given 2 doses intravitreal bevacizumab OD 1month apart.
Subsequent follow ups showed resolution of lesion with macular edema was seen.Visual acuity improved to 6/9 OD, 6/6 OS.
