Abstract
AIM:To identity features differentiating CSCR from its inflammatory mimickers. METHOD:Retrospective analysis of patients between 1st October 2019 to March 31st 2020 with an initial diagnosis of an inflammatory pathology which was subsequently changed to CSCR. RESULTS:6 patients were obtained of which 1 patient was diagnosed with posterior scleritis, 3 with sarcoid uveitis, 2 with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome. 2 patients had been treated with oral prednisolone at 0.5mg/kg/day. When the clinical course was inconsistent with diagnosis, investigations had been reviewed. FFA showing an absence of disc leak as well as early central clearing was more towards a diagnosis of CSCR . CONCLUSION:FFA plays an important role in differentiating CSCR from its inflammatory mimickers.Steroids being important risk factors to the development and progression of CSCR differentiating them assumes even more significance.
