Abstract
INTRODUCTION-Dacryops or lacrimal duct cyst is an uncommon benign condition characterized by a fluid-filled cyst on lateral portion of upper eyelid.Commonly present unilaterally.
CASE-A 35 year old female presented to ophthalmology opd with bilateral painless upper eyelid mass since 1year which is non progressive, not associated with erythema,discharge and no history of trauma .Visual acuity,slit-lamp examination,fundoscopy,CT scan,histopathology investigation done.
RESULT-On slit-lamp examination-visible protruding cyst by everting upper eyelid,no signs of inflammation or discharge.Histopathology-cystic space lined by benign columnar epithelium of lacrimal duct type.On CT scan-cystic structure in the region of lacrimal gland without bony disruption.
CONCLUSION-Here bilaterality of dacryopes seen.so it can be included in differential diagnosis of bilateral lacrimal gland masses.Simple surgical excision could be curative.
