Photic retinopathy (PR) is the spectrum of retinal damage that occurs due to the light through various modes – solar eclipse viewing, welding light, lasers and lightening. Previous studies in literature have reported the damage at level of outer segment of photoreceptors and RPE. With OCT angiography, we can study effect of light on deeper tissues like choriocapillaries. We present 3 cases of PR affected by 3 different modes – solar eclipse, laser, struck by lightening. Our paper focuses on multimodal imaging particularly OCT angiography in these 3 different causative modes revealing damage at level of choriocapillaries along with neurosensory retina. This paper warrants further studies on PR to assess extent of light damage to deeper tissues like choroid with help of OCT angiography and these 3 cases can be part of database for futuristic studies.
