Abstract
Aim:To evaluate the ability to use Anterior segment photography with intraocular lens to capture images of sufficient quality to identify eye findings ,to assess reproducibility & subjective image quality. We can share images with clinical finding for 2nd opinion in rural visit. Its useful to educate patient & attenders& helps families understand disease.
Materials & methods :Randomly selected 200 eyes with lesions.Slit lamp photography &anterior segment photography with IOL were taken& assessed by 4 Opthalmologist .Doctors could identify lesion in 93% of images & 7 % of images were not identified.Mean image quality was less than 4.0/5.0(able to exclude subtle findings).3.6/4 users were comfortable.
Conclusion:ASPI(Anterior segment photography using intraocular lens)ophthalmic imaging system is safe portable, easy to use,low cost to provide high quality mobile ocular imaging option. ASPI can be used as important tool for diagnosis, documentation in clinics, hospitals, health centre &camps.
