Abstract
Perennial allergic conjunctivitis is a form of allergic conjunctivitis in which symptoms present throughout the year with seasonal exacerbation in some and was diagnosed by slit lamp examination of identification of conjunctival follicle, papillae, and redness, and seasonal symptoms of ocular itching and tearing. This prospective observational study of 250 cases of perennial allergic conjunctivitis presented to a secondary eye care center were evaluated for presence of astigmatism. 105 (42%) cases of our study were associated with astigmatism (> ± 0.50D) and the association was statistically proved to be significant (p ≤ 0.005). So in every case of perineal allergic conjunctivitis presence of astigmatism to be ruled out and to be addressed to for relief of symptoms.
