Abstract
PURPOSE: To report a case of bilateral idiopathic pan-uveitis, in a 55-year-old female who presented with redness, pain, flashes and diminution of vision for 2 months
METHOD: Detailed examination was done and various investigations like B-scan, blood, urine and radiological investigations were sent to find the etiology
RESULTS: Both eyes were found to have circumcorneal congestions, mild hazy cornea, fine keratic precipitates, irregular depth of anterior chamber, loss of iris pattern, seclusion pupillae, complicated cataract with iris pigments on lens. Left eye also had few mutton fat keratic precipitates, neovascularization, raised IOP with iris bombe.
B-scan showed posterior segment involvement. All other investigations were normal.
CONCLUSION: ldiopathic uveitis consist of 48.09% of uveitis cases. It is a rare presentation of bilateral uveitis. Late presentation is a major determinant of poor visual prognosis
