India is facing a virtual epidemic of Diabetic retinopathy(DR). This course aims to declutter the available information, develop a rationale algorithmic approach and help improve your understanding on:

1. The gravity of current epidemic of DR in India.

2. Pathophysiology of DR/ DME

3. Current available Imaging Techniques: FFA, FAF, OCT, OCTA, widefield imaging

4. DR Clinical Trials and their relevance

5. Metabolic control and Intravitreal antiVEGF therapy: when and how?

6.Role of Steroid including Suprachoroidal steroids in DME

7.Lasers: conventional, micro pulse and Navilas laser

8. Vitrectomy for PDR & DME : indications, timing and technique

9. Cataract Surgery timing, technique and choice of IOL in DR

We will have didactic lectures , case/video based interactive discussions and conclude by presenting a simplified take home algorithmic approach for DME and PDR management. The attendees at conclusion, will be able to diagnose and treat DME and PDR with confidence
