Abstract
It is retrospective case study of a 73-years-old-male who developed choroidal neovascularization (CNVM) after successful idiopathic full thickness macular hole surgery in his right eye. Standard intra-operative steps of posterior vitreous separation and internal limiting membrane peeling after staining with brilliant-blue-G dye were performed. Sulfur-hexafluoride (SF6) gas was used as tamponade. Six weeks post-operation, closure of macular hole confirmed on SD-OCT. 21 months later he presented with juxtafoveal type 2 CNVM. These subtype of CNVMs spare subfoveal area and generally has poor visual outcomes. We report multimodal imaging in a case of CNVM developing after successful macular hole surgery.
