Abstract

We report a rare case of a trichilemmal cyst involving the bulbar conjunctiva. A whitish-opalescent, mildly elevated nodular nasal limbal lesion measuring 5 X 4 X 3 mm in dimensions in a 25-year-old female. Complete local excision with 2 mm margin along with mitomycin 0.04% application was done which produced relief of symptoms. Histopathology features were characteristic of trichilemmal keratinization, heretofore undescribed metaplasia of the conjunctival epithelium. No recurrence was seen up to 12 months of follow up
