Abstract
Trabeculectomy remains the gold standard surgical treatment for all glaucomas, although it comes with its own set of complications. Minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries are the first line of management in the developed countries for moderate glaucoma but in India we still practice Trabeculectomy as the first option as we don’t have expensive MIGS devices still approved for our country. But, time is changing and we now have a few MIGS procedures to look upon. This Instruction course tries to cover the MIGS which are now practically possible in our part of the world. Suture GATT( Gonioscopy Assisted Transluminal Trabeculotomy, Trabectome , Bent Ab-Interno Needle Goniectomy(BANG) , Micropulse laser are a few examples of the same. To master MIGS one needs to master intraoperative gonioscopy , which is also covered in this instruction course.
