Abstract
Aim:To present a case series describing clinical features & treatment outcomes in patients of Centurion Syndrome
Method:Medical records of patients diagnosed & treated as Centurion Syndrome in our hospital from July to December 2019 were reviewed and follow up for a 6 months period done
Result:6 cases,all male aged between 15-35 years presented with unilateral epiphora(grade 4 on Munk scale)commencing in 2nd decade of life. Diagnosis of Centurion Syndrome made bsed on epiphora,loss of medial part of lid globe apposition,prominent nasal bridge,displaced lower punctum out of tear lake.Treatment with disinsertion of anterior limb of medial canthal tendon and its posterior plication done.On follow up 5 patients showed relief of epiphora to grade1 Munk scale,1 patient having no relief due to additional enophthalmos (11mm in Hertel’s exophthalmometry)
Conclusion:Centurion syndrome is a rare disorder having favourable surgical outcome.
