Abstract
Aim of the study is to compare the outcome following intravitreal ranibizumab between patients having BRVO with and without serous macular detachment. All patients diagnosed as BRVO underwent complete ophthalmic evaluation. With the help of spectral domain OCT,the central macular thickness is assessed, and patients are grouped as those with SMD and nonSMD group.30 eyes of BRVO with SMD and 30 eyes without SMD are included in the study. These patients are given intravitreal ranibizumab by ophthalmologist and the efficacy is assessed at 2 weeks and 1 month interms of BCVA and CMT.CMT reduced from (530.77±142.110) to (326.53±55.006) over 2 week in patients having SMD and from 395.30±136.104 to 270.90±32.550 in non SMD group .Amount of reduction in CMT was more for SMD group compared to non SMD group.
