Abstract

PURPOSE Here we have described the various techniques, complications and ideal technique for ILM peel in different cases of ERM, idiopathic macular hole, Diabetic macular edema , Proliferative diabetic retinopathy, Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, traumatic macular hole.

METHODS we have described how to stain the ILM, where and how to pinch the ILM without doing any complications, we used finness loop and perfluro carbon liquid PFCL as adjuvants for ILM peel. We used PVA sponge to elevate the ILM edge in few cases. We used only Vitrectomy cutter probe for completing ILM peel in Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and macular hole cases. We have used ILM, wet amniotic membrane and autologous conjunctival graft in macular hole cases.

RESULTS ILM peel is mandatory in many cases and we can use Finness loop, PFCL and PVA sponge as adjuvants for ILM Peel which leads to less complications even in less experienced and skilled surgeons.
